Nearby is the port of La Trinité-sur-Mer, with an amazing array of racing yachts in the harbour, and the dramatic Quiberon peninsula. Take a boat trip to Belle Ile or the Gulf of Morbihan, or watch the sand yachts racing on the beach. Ancient Vannes with its popular aquarium and picturesque Auray, with its excellent weekly market, are well worth a visit.

This campsite, with a beautiful setting in the parklands of an old Breton Manor, is a member of the prestigious Castels chain. Its carefully landscaped grounds provide privacy with grassy pitches screened by hedges and trees. There is a superb waterpark with a covered pool, slides and lazy river. In high season there is an organised programme of events and the amphitheatre is the venue for evening entertainment. Some noise can be heard on-site. The beach is a twenty minute bike ride away from the campsite on quiet roads. You can walk or cycle past the famous standing stones that run for two miles from the campsite. Carnac Plage has a lively atmosphere and an excellent range of restaurants. Visit the ancient Breton town of Auray with its attractive medieval harbou,r on market day and explore the old streets of Vannes. For a change of pace you can explore the beautiful Brière Regional Park to the south and the Gulf of Morbihan.

La Trinité-sur-Mer, one mile away, has a good selection of bars and shops alongside the river estuary plus an excellent fish market. Ideally located in the Breton countryside, with an excellent swimming pool complex and beaches within easy reach. This family-run site, one and a half miles from Baden, is positioned near to the beautiful Gulf of Morbihan. The excellent facilities, situated at the top of a fairly steep hill, include a swimming pool with waterslides, covered pool, jacuzzi, sauna, bar and restaurant. The family will enjoy relaxing at the south facing beaches or exploring the rock pools and coves just four miles away at Île aux Moines. During July and August the campsite staff organise daytime and evening entertainment for the whole family. The already impressive pool complex has now been upgraded with a covered pool for 2008. There are miles of excellent sandy beaches and lively resorts along this stretch of coastline, and the surrounding area is rich in Breton culture and tradition. The towns of Carnac and Vannes hold festivals throughout the summer months and boast a variety of good bars and restaurants. Visit Auray with its attractive medieval harbour.

Set by a river in beautiful wooded parkland with organised activities on-site, ideal for active families. his lovely Castels site, just two miles from the pretty village of Arzano, has been developed around an old Breton village built in traditional local granite. With an off-the-beaten track atmosphere there is an activities programme organised by experienced site staff all season and the site gets very lively in high season. There is a small riverside beach on the banks of the River Elle where you can participate in canoeing and horse riding excursions in the nearby forest. Children will love both the indoor pool with waterfall and waterslides and outdoor swimming pool. Quimperlé, a fifteen minute drive away, is a delightful market town, with narrow medieval streets and superb restaurants. Nearby is the popular Pont Scorff zoo where you can see a variety of wild animals. Further afield is Quimper, the medieval capital of Brittany, famous for its cathedral, maze of cobbled streets and pretty old quarter.
